Chabad-Lubavitch

Our Chabad center is an affiliate of the worldwide Chabad Lubavitch movement.
The movement has established over 4,000 centers across the globe inspired by the
leadership and guidance of the ‘Rebbe’, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of blessed memory.

Chabad is dedicated to strengthening Jewish identity in a nurturing and non-judgmental
environment. Its endeavor is to share the beauty of authentic Jewish values and make them
relevant and meaningful in the modern world.

Chabad of Sussex County

The Chabad center in Sussex County, NJ was established in 2002. The center offers a full
array of Jewish programming and services for all ages, regardless of background or affiliation.

Our community consists of Jews – and non-Jews - from a colorful range of backgrounds
and levels of observance who are by no means all ‘Orthodox’. Chabad is also the active
Jewish presence in many local government and community institutions.

The location of our facility at 266 Woodport Rd in Sparta was purchased in 2014.
Renovations were soon made to create a lovely Synagogue and Chabad activity space.
The community is growing! Plans are now underway for further renovation and expansion
of the site.
